Yesterday my Khor Khor brought her kids over. My 3 year old cousin, Kai and his baby brother, Keane.
Kai was certainly a huge ball of energy in that little, scrawny body of his. I enjoyed playing with him, giving him hugs and carrying him whenever he wanted me to.
So anyway, Kai is an extremely curious toddler. I took him to the garden to play. Introduced the flowers, fruits and vegetables to little Kai. Played games with him that required him to run around the garden in search of certain plants. Then he stumbled across an empty pot full of earth.
"Adelyn Jie Jie! This pot no plant?"
I told him the plant hadn't grown yet. And in order for it to grow we had to put a seed inside and water it. Instinctively he nudged me to reel out the house that lay between the bush and the tree. And I obliged his request and handed Kai the hose (with a really cool shower head to go with it!).
Kai immediately went to the plant-less pot and sprayed water into it. He kept spraying and spraying and spraying. Eventually he asked me why there were no plants sprouting out from the earth. I told him that he had to wait for a week or so.
If Kai was a little disappointed, the little boy clearly did not show any sign of dejection. For his attention turned to spraying water into the air.
Awhile later, Kai ran up to me and sprayed water at me to the point my clothes were thoroughly soaked. His mom asked him why he did it and he said..
"Oh I want Jie Jie to grow!!!!!!"
Even kids think I need to grow taller. :(
